Rossomando was such a fool, kid wasn't even at the party. Imagine what that would have meant for him and the program? Glad he took his morals to big time football for his paycheck.

Aside from getting ticked off at the end, great article lol.

I am a Patriot fan, yeah!
I had an interesting dream recently. The Pats were celebrating a Super Bowl victory and Jake was holding up the trophy as all those paper things were fluttering down from the sky.

Longtime NFL exec Gil Brandt tweeted Monday: "Tyree Jackson wasn't the only QB at Buffalo's pro day last week who scouts were paying attention to. @CCSUfootball's Jacob Dolegala impressed so much, some think he worked his way into an early Day 3 pick. A labrum shoulder tear in HS threw off recruiters. Now he's on NFL radars." Who's Jacob Dolegala? Glad you asked.

I think that the word is out. It is my hunch that Jake could go in the middle of the draft, maybe 3rd or 4th round. Teams know that there is legitimate interest by other teams and he is a QB so there is incentive to pull the trigger and draft him before someone else does. QB is the one position which has such an enormous upside that taking a gamble on a mid round pick is worthwhile.

More on Jake from Sports Illustrated:
An under-the-radar quarterback to know: Central Connecticut State quarterback Jacob Dolegala. The 6' 6" Dolegala tore his labrum early in his senior season in high school, throwing off college recruiters, so he went to prep school for a year and his only scholarship offer came from CCSU, an FCS program. In 44 games, Dolegala threw for 8,129 yards, 48 touchdowns, 29 interceptions and a 57.6 completion percentage. He became the school’s all-time leading passer and led Central to the FCS playoffs for the first time in school history. He also impressed scouts at the University of Buffalo’s pro day (as a Western New York native he worked out there).

I’ve heard his name from a couple different scouts and a few believe he is draftable. One scout said he has a sixth-round grade on Dolegala. Another said he thinks he is probably a seventh-round pick. And while Dolegala did not play in an All-Star game or get a combine invite, the Senior Bowl staff received several calls from teams interested in seeing him. Gil Brandt tweeted that Dolegala is firmly on the NFL’s radar now too.

Nice article on Jake - as well as a nice piece on Kenneth Keen, Chris Tinkham, Courtney Rush and Tymir Hinton Pro Day results - from Daniel Fappiano and Patrick Gustavson at The Recorder.

Dom Amore: Central Connecticut’s Jacob Dolegala could be an NFL Draft sleeper
No one lasts at the quarterback position without unshakable belief in his ability, and Dolegala, who measured 6-foot-6 ½ and 240 pounds and ran the 40-yard dash in 4.91 seconds, has the physical tools to substantiate it — a package of talent that could get him from Central Connecticut, where he set school records for passing yards and touchdowns, to the NFL.

As a JETS and CCSU fan, I hope he is drafted anywhere but New England.

Since the 50th anniversary of Super Bowl III was commemorated back on January 12th, this would be a great choice for the Jets. Broadway Jake!!!

Ya think CCSU has a media plan (social/regular) for all of the attention this will bring the school when people start investigating where Jake is from? Ya me neither...
