I don't know anything about this recruit, but my first thought is that he is probably a "project."
Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
I still want to play them. Local game, win win for everyone.

Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
I don't think that they will play us IMHO.
CCSU Class of 2004

Men's Basketball NEC Champions: 2000 * 2002 * 2007

I have to agree NB.
U of H refused to play CCSU for years because they had a superiority complex. QU has the same issue now and playing CCSU in their eyes (only) is a step down and they could never tolerate a loss.

Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
Yes. Its always possible to teach skills to a 7 footer but it is not possible to teach a skilled player to be a 7 footer.
Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
We've always been unable to teach the skills for some reason.
Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
And now they have added a former Northwestern starter. From today's NH Register:

Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
4 star recruit. We've never sniffed one of those before. Maybe I don't want to play them any more. smh...
Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
The Q has released their non-conference schedule. Looks like a busy weekend before the Thanksgiving break with home games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
Hope SHU and FDU wipe the floor with them. I want on their schedule, home and home. Was fun when we owned them until they turned the tables.
Re: Bobcats Add 7 Foot Center
That's a garbage schedule. Yes, they get 4 home games, but those are AE and NEC teams that we get as well.
Add in a boring 20-game MAAC slate - that isn't much better than the NEC.
Miami (FL) is the only major on that schedule. Not impressed at all. Padding the schedule for wins.

“Padding the schedule for wins.” J.J.
And they need to do just that, because over the last two decades Quinnipiac's D-I Men’s basketball program has been a masterpiece of mediocrity.
The late great NH Register sportswriter Dave Solomon once wrote that Quinnipiac had “the best image money could buy.” Lots of that money was poured into the sports programs atop Mount Bobcat. Now the Q’s ice hockey program has been a huge success, despite the fact that the nearest National Championship banner resides a few miles down Whitney Avenue in Ingalls Rink.
But the men’s basketball program, despite a state-of-the-art building, highly paid coaches, and excellent media coverage has still not been able to surpass what Joe DeSantis achieved in 2002.

Yep, shoreline - QU has a great image, but no substance.
QU is looking like a poor man's Boston University. QU is trying to be like BU but without the city campus and social scene, academics, or international students that the Terriers can draw to Beantown.
