2020 Virtual Media Day

Post by J.J. » Tue Jul 21, 2020 9:47 am

A lot of things can change in the upcoming weeks and months, but the Football Media Day is this week, so a football season looks promising right now. =D>

I expect they will provide an update on schedules, as we know the CCSU-Wagner game for 9/5 has to be pushed backed.

Ugh. Not at home and this espn app is ridiculous trying to log in. All my passwords are kept in a password mgt app so I know it’s correct. SMH

Caught a preview and we are picked to finish first.

You can watch on here http://necfrontrow.com/game/7488

CCSU picked #1 unanimously and Tre and Tyshaun were great guests. These kids have a bright future in football and off the field. Great responses to the questions, looking forward to seeing them out there this year.

Coach Mac was great as well. Basically said were going to prepare, work hard, and take things as they come. No arguments here - really a unique situation we're all in, so just gotta stay positive and be ready to go.

That being said, I'm not confident at we will have a season this year. No talk of schedules, practices, etc. and Coach Mac didnt sound like he expects a full season. We already lost Spring camp and summer workouts have been pushed back, so I'm just not sure the NEC teams will be ready to play football this September. Gotta stay prepared with film work and home workouts and then just wait for further decisions from State, NCAA, and NEC officials.

Why am I listening to our commissioner be all political on a program dedicated to football?

Coach Mac, Tre and Tyshaun represent our school so very well. I pray (literally) we can see them all on the field this season.

That was a very well put together program. Paul and Ralph do a great job. Only thing missing was an official update on the virus and what the current state is, that was a miss by leadership who instead thought making things political was the better message.

Agreed. The NEC media team is one of the best at this level. Paul is fantastic.

My guess is they don't have any updates to share regarding scheduling because everything is still in a state of flux. Coach appeared to be out of the loop on any schedule updates and sounded unsure we would even play this year. Optimistic, but doubtful.

I guess the good news is at least we haven't cancelled outright like the Ivy, Patriot, and others ... so we have some hope for a season of some kind.

Agreed JJ, I think (hope) they will lean towards an in conference only model. Hope they let us in or I'm going to have to visit some long lost relative for a very long time in the cemetery behind the field lol.
