Football transfers out?

We already lost one grad transfer (DJ Exihlhomme) heading into the season I hope we can hold on to Conner for his senior year!

I literally overheard towards the end of last year, like I have no clue who the guy was but he was loud enough for everyone in his radius to hear him, say, that we would see "a lot" of kids transfer out who were unhappy w/ playing time. Could be a disgruntled brother, father whatever but he was pretty adamant about it.

Hey if a player feels he is not getting enough PT then I cannot blame him for transferring. But ultimately, that means that the coaching staff thinks another player is better and/or another player is a better fit to the scheme.

And some of these grad transfers it is an opportunity to "play up" for their final season. As a CCSU fan I'm disappointed, but I get it. You hope we can keep our impact players and First- and Second-teamers for all 4 years, but that's not always possible.

I think it also says something positive about CCSU when these kids graduate with a Central diploma and then take that grad opportunity somewhere else. Hard to look down at a kid going for a Grad degree somewhere else.

The way the NCAA is set up, we are ALWAYS going to have transfers out. I just hope CCSU can balance our losses out from graduations/transfers with high school recruits and transfers-in.

As long as there is a healthy balance, we'll be OK.

Mignone transferred to Vanderbilt, great offer and will complete his graduate program there. Even if he gets little playing time, after being a 3 year starter at LT for CCSU, which was a great opportunity for him, he's thrilled to be able to be at Vanderbilt in the SEC. CCSU gave him that opportunity.

Great school. That is a valuable Graduate degree and an opportunity too good to pass up - SEC football.

Wish him the best, he's still a Blue Devil to us!
