11.9.19 St. Francis Univ. @ CCSU

CCSU spends the remainder of the season playing against residents of the Pittsburgh Triangle. The Red Flash are 1-2 against teams the Blue Devils have already beaten, having lost to Columbia and Sacred Heart while defeating Bryant. CCSU cannot afford to look ahead to the matchups with Robert Morris and Duquesne later in the month. I’m guessing they won’t.

Agreed, they wont, they are taking this one week at a time thing seriously. My only issue is they totally play to their competition. I'd love to see them start putting complete games together and dominating from minute one. Don't get me wrong, the 2nd half shut out of Wanger was good but that game had a feel that wasn't so good as the game went along. Can't wait to see the lines on this game and the game at RMU. Hate the fact that we may be in an all the marbles game at Duquesne. The only way that doesn't happen would be if RMU beats Duquesne, we beat RMU and Duquesne loses at Bryant next week right?

I think our secondary was playing too soft, allowing too much underneath.

The offense was poised, but mismanaged the clock.

Should have won this in the 4th Q - now has to do it in OT.

Huge sack! Nice win.

With RMU winning, looks like next week (Senior Day) is BobbyMo's opportunity to seal the NEC AQ from us.

One week at a time, but these next 2 are huge games for the program.

Not sure how much we rise in the polls, but I think they could move up as high as #15 in the STATS FCS Poll.

Not sure about 15 (ranking). CCSU didn’t play well today... but I am excited and proud that we won!!!

Next week is huuuugggeeeee!

Nice resiliency in pulling off a good win against an underrated opponent

The pollsters don’t even watch the games, so I could see us moving up a place or two

Indeed. It’s our season. More than a bit concerned because let’s face it, they aren’t exactly killing it and getting better each NEC game, they got beat on almost every stat yesterday, except the most important one obviously. O line was awful yesterday. Defense looked slow. Have to play better next week. And I know it’s cold and most people are whimps but what do we have to do to pack the house next week? If it weren’t for the NB band the other side would have been almost totally empty. There is no way we avoid going to Pittsburgh to clinch huh?

So I think I answered my own question in the clarity of the morning, lol. So if we beat RMU and Duquesne loses @ Bryant, very unlikely I know but lets hope they really want to play spoiler for someone as their season has not gone well. That would leave them w/ 2 loses, and even if we lose to them the next week, we would win by virtue of tie breaker as we would have beaten RMU. Man, MASSIVE game this week. Hope they don't choke. Really bad game they played last week. Anyone know why? injuries?
