"Yale is that good?" ccsuhoops.

For what it's worth (as those great sports writers Buffalo Springfield would have said), the Bulldogs were picked 1st in the preseason Ivy coaches poll.

Would love for the Blue Devils to make a trip down to the Yale Bowl iin an upcoming season.
We could call it the "Walter Camp Classic" named after the New Britain born, Yale graduate who is known as the "Father of American Football"

Make it a biennial or even quadrennial game to be played in New Haven at the Bowl.

I know we want the game more than they do, so it is unlikely we see this matchup ever. :(

How's the game so far?

Central looking good, but not pulling away. Dominating TOP and moving the ball well. Defense is playing strong as well

CCSU 7, SHU 0 (6:46 Q2)

28-3 third quarter!
CCSU Blue Devils dominating.

I know SHU isn’t a big deal to many but this kind of beat down is needed yearly.

Its official we have a legit contender!
They dominated a pretty good NEC offense.
If they haven't already done it, I think that we have our Head Coach.

A very good win! SHU was definitely a contender for the NEC, so this was much needed. I think we have a lot to be happy about.

The most important thing is playing with this intensity every week! This is a good CCSU if we play like this every week, but we can be beat any week, so let's keep focused!

Yep, we look pretty good alright. We were actually dogs going in. Would love to see a big win next week before NEC play. Only negative I see is the championship will have to be won in Pittsburgh most likely...

Forget the preseason polls and the oddsmakers.
Look at the performance to this point. Duquesne was picked #1, now 3-2 and last week they had all they could handle with LIU. SHU was picked #2 and had their 400+ yard high scoring offense shut down by Central on their home field.

Of course things change every week, but at this point, there is no doubt who is the favorite in the NEC. Its Central!

The concern is with the injuries. Central needs to have some of the injured O-line and running backs returning to action.

Agreed. Was very nervous hearing that we had 2 offensive linemen out with injuries. DB/KR Tajik Bagley also sat out due to injury.

We looked very good coming out of the bye week facing the NEC's #2 preseason team with those injuries, so I think we have some good depth.

Really can't say enough positive stuff about Winchester and James. These guys are good! The defense is also playing very well. They make me nervous at times, but they are a confident bunch and have really done an outstanding job getting turnovers.

At this point I most worried about the team maintaining a very prepared and focused attitude week in and out. They need to play with the highest level of intensity each week. If they can do that, I feel very confident we can win the NEC and make our second NCAA appearance.

If Coach McCarthy and Aaron Winchester can keep the team focused on the field, I think we have a very high ceiling this year!
