If it is a big pay day and given the financial situation, I would be all for playing one or two BCS games every year.
I think that Wagner has it right.

Risk being, when a team plays a team that is much bigger and much faster, the potential for injury rises which could affect an entire season as those games are typically at the beginning of the year. While going to Syracuse was fun, we got smoked. Did it make us better? Maybe???? Did we lose a wide receiver? Yep.

Injuries are a part of the game and can happen vs. D-II Southern Connecticut or FBS Syracuse - can't predict those things.

I would like to see 1 FBS game for CCSU each year. Only play 2 in a season if we really need the $$$, or if we have a willing opponent that we just can't refuse (Army, Navy, etc.)

I basically like every game the NEC has scheduled - Wagner is killing it, even though they are getting blown out each time. We have a chance to be more competitive vs. Sun Belt, C-USA, and MAC teams, with a rare game vs. a P5 cellar-dweller like Kansas.

Ideal G5 opponents for CCSU - UConn, UMass, Temple, Buffalo, FIU, FAU, Akron, Eastern Michigan, Old Dominion, East Carolina, etc.

Rare P5 opponents for CCSU - Boston College, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Duke, Indiana, Kansas.

More updates ...

Wagner added a 2nd FBS opponent next season (Florida Atlantic), and has scheduled out to 2021.

Saint Francis is also getting into the game as well with a 2020 matchup at Buffalo (MAC).

Seems like Buffalo is the NEC's favorite FBS opponent:

2014 - Duquesne at Buffalo
2019 - Robert Morris at Buffalo
2020 - Saint Francis at Buffalo
2021 - Wagner at Buffalo

No word on FBS opponents for Central in 2019 and beyond; however I'm hoping for confirmation soon on the rumored 2-year deal between CCSU and UConn for games in both 2020 and 2022.
