Wow, that is impressive

And to think he will be the #2 behind DJG. I think we are on our way to restocking instead if rebuilding in football.

Level of competition is obviously changing but this kid looks like Hairston 2.0. Who is gonna stop him? No one, that’s who.

A formidable running game is going to make this offense quite potent. Look for Dolegala to have a big year as teams load the box to stop the run.

From Tuesday's NH Register:
"Markell Dobbs had 24 carries for 206 yards, including touchdown runs of 1, 3 and 58 yards, and Darwin Amaya had 12 carries for 151 yards and touchdown runs of 4 and 7 yards plus a 39-yard touchdown reception to lead No. 1 seed Ansonia to a 51-16 win over NVL rival and No. 8 Seymour at Jarvis Stadium on Tuesday."

It will be interesting to watch this game, is it on TV?
This is going to be a tough game for Ansonia. They have played mostly one sided games against lesser competition so it is difficult to assess just how good they are...
I think that St Joseph has played a much tougher schedule against L and LL schools in Fairfield County.

Agreed. The FCIAC is definitely the tougher league with bigger schools.

FYI - the L Finals (Masuck v. Daniel Hand) and M Finals (Killingly v. Joel Barlow) will both be played at Veteran's Stadium in New Britain.

Again, I guess Arute Field just isn't big enough for a state high school championship :(

You can't have an FCS school and the 2nd largest State University in the state with a facility that seats just 5k. The lack of foresight and poor design when they first updated the facility back in 2000 is still mind boggling to me.

Agreed. They need to out bleachers at both end zones at least

Should have made it a horseshoe design in the South end and connected the 2 bleachers (Home and Away)

Well...with the cemetery to the south and E.G. Blvd to the north, it's very very tight (as is the entire complex area with Barbour Brook on the east restraining everything).

The only reasonable expansion I can see would be to extend each side of the home side north and south to the goal lines.

There may be some creative engineering to elevate stands over the walkway on the south side but nothing at all will be done unless we consistently draw crowds that necessitate it.

I could see them expanding the home side if that was consistently overflowing, even though there was still room on the visitors side. There is plenty of room to expand the home side, and at least one of the end zones for a horseshoe.
But what is the point of adding more empty seats?
It would be nice if more seats became a necessity because of an increase in attendance.
