CCSU looking good so far. Central is down 1 run in the top of the 7th with 1 out and a man on 2nd.

We already have more hits against DBU than UVA had yesterday.

God , can we ever win anything on a national stage?

Heartbreaking loss. Very winnable game that got away. We gave up too many HRs and we had too many LOB.

But honestly, the best showing ever for a CCSU baseball team in a Regional.

CCSU had the game tying run on base/at the plate in the 9th inning in both games!

Lots to be proud of and to look forward to next season!

Interesting fact about DBU. They are one of the very few universities that play D-1 in one sport (in this case baseball) but D-2 in all other sports.

A tough loss, because you can very easily visualize them winning that one. One call here or one bounce there and there would have been a different outcome. That HR in the bottom of the eighth was a killer. Though they certainly represented the school and the league well it does not make me feel any better. In the end a loss is a loss.
Still there are a lot of young players to build around and we should be competitive next year too.

I thought that the NCAA did not allow that, I guess they do.

I thought so too but I think there are "grandfathered" schools. For instance, Hartwick (NY) plays D-1 soccer and RPI plays (I think) D-1 ice hockey. In fact mighty Hobart plays D-1 LaCross in the NEC.
