Not sure what division Talek Williams dropped down to but he dropped 50 last night.

He is at Lackawanna College, a Junior College in Penn. Talek is a tremendous athlete, but he was too short to be a forward at the D1 level and did not have the ball handling skills to be a #1 or the shooting skills to be a #2. Kind of caught in between.

I would not be surprised if at some point some D1 or D2 program offers him a scholarship. He really needs to develop a reliable three point shot.

Steve V will be happy. Funny how fouls for our games are most definitely not fouls for the big boys.

He’s on a bunch of AAC games. In the second half he was selling the conference like a crack addict who needs a fix.

It’s hard to hate on someone who needs the random AAC on ESPNNews paycheck so bad he begs for it.

It still drives me crazy to watch him. He's deranged. At least they are 1-4 in conference.

Adams is quite crazy and annoying as an analyst. His “scheduling formula” that he sold to the MAC is not as innovative or impactful as the media has suggested. I’m sure he’s a good guy, and I actually thought he was doing a good job at CCSU, but when C.J. became AD, it was clear they weren’t getting along. Then came the UConn debacle at the Civic Center. I’m not as hard on him for his CCSU tenure as some others. It was before my time at Central, but I think the Mike Brown era was probably much worse. Remember, Adams was brought in to fix the mess that Brown had made.

As for Hurley, he is an immature ass and I don’t think he is as good of a coach as the media makes him out to be. He’s really just a blow-hard and is exactly what UConn fans deserve.

Good observation JJ.

I knew Mark pretty well and I’m probably too hard on him. A couple of us handed over some cash to him to help get a booster club going and that went nowhere so that left a bitter feeling with me but as you said he had to clean up Browns mess.

Brown was hired over CJ which pissed of a lot of people. He came from Seton Hall and initially I thought MAYBE he could bring a big time attitude to CCSU but he failed miserably.

I recall he had a friendship with local radio “talent” Sebastian and was often on his show. When Howie was hired, Sebastian was merciless with his on air criticism.

I wasn't around for the Mark Adams era (my freshman year was 01-02) but I like him as a media presence. Yes, his AAC lovefests are annoying, but he's a champion of the mid-majors consistently pointing out the unfairness in non-conference scheduling, how the RPI/NET is skewed toward the big boys, and notes it when teams with teams when small budgets beat teams with more resources (do more with less).

As for his "smart scheduling", it's the Conference USA that implemented it and this is the first season. I personally really like the idea and it has a chance to get the league an extra bid (it obviously wouldn't work for the NEC).

Wanna know who irks me from the media? Joe D. Ugh, have to change the channel immediately to avoid his EE make out sessions. Ugh.

I’ve been watching a lot more big time ball this year and I gotta ask. Why does the ncaa allow the refs (and I usually see the ones that do our games do these games) to call a completely different game? The end of last nights game would NEVER have happened in a big time game. The quick t’s that we see, the bs touch fouls that we see, seriously, why is it allowed to happen. Hell, the Nova kid is bleeding at the line. Our game would be stopped for 5 min while they stop it. Feels like two different leagues.

Dang! Monmouth is 0-7 bout to be 0-8. Ouch!
I miss the monmouth wacky bench plays.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIy0eLodpls I guess 0-7(8) teams are not allowed to do that due to NCAA rules and regs.
