Ciara Crinion takes over as WSocc at Seton Hall

On Wednesday, Seton Hall announced the hiring of Ciara Crinion as its newest women’s soccer coach. Prior to her coaching career, Crinion was a standout at Central Connecticut State, where she was a two-time All-NEC selection and led the Blue Devils to a conference tournament title in 2008 and a regu...

Red Sox fans

Per the Providence Journal : If you’re looking to combine college basketball with a love of the Red Sox, the Friars game vs. CCSU will foot the bill. To celebrate the Red Sox World Series win, all fans with a game ticket will be able to take a picture on the Dunkin’ Donuts Center concourse with the ...

Re: at #13 Virginia Tech

I look at it like this - 2 weeks of practice (including a scrimmage game) between Virginia Tech and Providence.

Hopefully the team gets rests and gets healthy. They were on some long road trips (Jamaica, Los Angeles, N.C./Virginia).

It will help to sleep in their own beds and get some home cooking.

Re: at #13 Virginia Tech

I think this would not have hurt so much if we had beaten NC A&T, which would have happened with the regular Kohl. Kohl ejected for flagrant 2, but that is not going to make much difference in this one. They have to be shooting like 60% on threes, or more? The pep band is pretty damn good We could ...

Re: at #13 Virginia Tech

Yep, I'm streaming the WatchESPN app from my Samsung S6 android phone onto my Sony Bravia TV using Google Chromecast.

Awesome quality from ESPN. Skeleton production (single PBP announcer) and no commercials.

NEC FrontRow needs an app like this to make streaming easier.

at #13 Virginia Tech

Didn't realize Blacksburg was a 4+ hour ride from D.C., so I'll be streaming this one at home.

Re: Jake Watch

Absolutely great buzz about Jake and the program. Still can't help but feel we underachieved with that kind of size and talent under center. This is certainly great press for Central Connecticut football, but a disappointment we never saw Jake in a FCS Playoff game. No doubt Jake has some gaudy stat...

Re: 11/29 @ NC A&T

This is a MEAC team, what did you guys expect?

Honestly, CCSU has Front Row, but no radio or beat reporter for road games. We haven't done a coaches show, can't get the Courant to cover home games. What do we really have?

We live in a glass house, so we shouldn't throw stones.

Re: General (Non CCSU/NEC) Basketball Chat

Wish QU nothing but the worst :) Glad to see Monmouth falling back to the norm.

Quinnipac sucks! Hartford is struggling as well.

Only UConn, Yale, and CCSU seem to be having a good year locally.

State university system a step closer to naming academic building after its first black graduate

I think this is a fantastic idea and hope this passes. Holding signs describing Ebenezer D.C. Bassett as a scholar, educator, diplomat and more, 50 people waited anxiously Wednesday morning to learn if the state university system would honor its first black graduate. Cheers were followed by a standi...

Re: 2019 football schedule

What is really disappointing about this schedule is we have our FBS game at Eastern Michigan instead of UConn. The Huskies will instead play fellow NEC member Wagner as their 2019 FCS game. I heard from CCSU sources we were in serious discussions with UConn for years now, but nothing has been announ...

Nice win for the Dukes in a monsoon at Towson.

NEC is now 2-7 in the First Round of the playoffs.
