Re: Wagner

The kids deserved to celebrate what has been a miserable season. They haven't given up or packed it in, when it could have been real easy to do so. Glad to see them put it together and come out with a "W" and would be great to see them do it a few more times. Doesn't change my opinion on the traject...

Re: SHU Announces Television Package With SNY

Beat me to it shoreline :) SHU wins the inaugural Connecticut Ice Tournament (a poor man's Boston Beanpot) including a win over #17 Quinnipiac at Harbor Yards Arena in Bridgeport. On the same day they announce plans for an on campus (Former GE HQ property in Fairfield) 4,000 seat ice rink. No mentio...

Re: 2020 Non-conference schedule

According to FBSchedules.com, CCSU has 3 non-conference games already scheduled for next season: Sep. 19 - Valparaiso (Pioneer) Sep. 26 - at Toledo (MAC) Oct. 10 - at Columbia (Ivy) If Merrimack becomes an official NEC game next season, then our 2020 schedule would be completed (3 non-conf + 8 NEC ...

Re: Northeast Conference FBS opponents

Per FBSchedules ..

Wagner added a 2nd FBS opponent in 2021. The Seahawks will travel to Philly on Sep. 25, to play Temple at Lincoln Financial Field.

Robert Morris will play at Miami (Ohio) on Sep. 10, 2022 for a $335k guarantee.

Re: VS SHU 1/15/2020

I think you're missing my point. I agree that they are a terrible rebounding team. And I agree that their front-court is not good. It's not because they are smaller than other teams though, and it's not because they are less talented generally either, and it's not because of one specific position. ...

Re: @ FDU

Predictions: 1) This team doesn't win a game for the rest of the year. 2) Multiple players announce they are transferring out at the end of the season 3) CCSU and DM come to a "mutual agreement" to part ways at the end of the season. I'm sure everyone associated with the program is just worn out by ...

Re: I know things are bad

I turned on LIU at 63-60 and it fell apart from there. Anyone who can watch these games close enough to analyze them. Kudos. It’s impossible to watch for more than a few minutes at a time. Couldn't agree more. This season has been unwatchable. I have probably tuned in for a total of 30 minutes this...

Re: CCSU vs Conn College

Another lost season for basketball. :(

When do pitchers and catchers report?

Looking forward to CCSU baseball's first game on Feb 21 at Bethune-Cookman

Re: 2020 Blue Devil Baseball

Lots of midweek home games - great schedule. Home vs. Hartford, Albany, Stony Brook, Fairfield, Quinnipiac, and UConn. I would trade a game vs. Siena or Manhattan for a game at Yale, but that's it. No games at Dunkin Donuts Park, but that's OK - nice to play so many on campus. Trip to Florida, plus ...

Donyell Marshall manages to stay positive

The staff is positive, only the fans are frustrated. Isn't this a "do over" because we didn't have the right guys the first time? https://www.readingeagle.com/sports/donyell-marshall-manages-to-stay-positive-at-central-connecticut-state/article_7bf1d100-241f-11ea-81fc-53524d1190d2.html “I kno...

Women beat Harford for first win

Congrats to the ladies for beating UHa. Beryl gets her 150th win. Central finished the non-conf schedule at 1-10, which is awful. NEC play starts after the new year. Hartford fell to 0-12 on the season. What the hell happened to that program after Rizzotti left? Goes to show what coaching means in c...

Re: Horton

Nice feature by Ryan and great group of contributors. Horton was a hell of a player for us, and I admit sometimes I underrate him mostly because the teams while he was here were such a disappointment. Really wish he had a little more support on the roster and we could have had our 4th trip in 2011. ...

Nice article in the Hartford Courant: https://www.courant.com/sports/college/hc-sp-central-connecticut-tom-pincince-athletic-director-column-20191220-k5iylkctxzb5rnqom76z3o5wum-story.html This captures Tom well - he has been a do-it-all dynamo for CCSU. He’s forward-thinking, reliable, versatile, ha...

Tom P. has been appointed. I think it’s a good move.
Great selection. Tom will do an excellent job, I just hope he gets the resources and support that this position requires.
